3 Months Old

Another month has come and gone and Elijah has just continued to grow and thrive.  He doesn’t go to visit the doctor this month so we weighed and measured him at home today. He weighed in at a whopping 17 lbs even and 26 1/2 inches long.

It was another big month for the little guy. The biggest thing for us was he started sleeping a good 5-6 hours stretch at night, with a couple 2 hours stretches on either side of that. As part of this, Elijah has officially become less portable. He now pretty much sleeps for long periods only when he is home in bed. He’ll fall asleep other places but it just doesn’t last very long. Also in sleep related news, he is wearing footed PJs to bed now, 6-9 month size no less. And he is super cute in the too.
Elijah is certainly going to be more like his dad, not only in his looks but also in temperament. He is already a social butterfly but his favorite person to watch and talk to is his big brother Isaiah. If Isaiah is in the room and nearby, no one else matters.

Elijah still doesn’t like tummy time, and still isn’t pooping regularly on his own. He has however warmed up to a nice warm bath. He will kick so hard he almost scoots out of his bath seat!

This last month also included Elijah’s first Christmas. A special time with family and he even was asked to portray the Baby Jesus for Christmas Eve service. Mom and Dad portrayed Mary and Joseph. While his first Christmas wasn’t a white one, the day after was his first snowfall. Unlike Isaiah, Elijah enjoyed the snow from the comfort of the warm house. While we enjoyed all the Christmas and New Year festivities, Elijah as well as the rest of the family are happy to be back into a normal routine.

Christmas Morning

Elijah, we look forward more changes and growth in the coming month! We love you!

Happy New Year!
