1/2 Birthday!

It's hard to imagine that 6 months ago (as of last Monday) we welcomed Elijah into our family! He is such a joyful little boy! We visited Dr. Ware on Friday for a 6 month check-up and just as we expected, he is a healthy thriving baby! He weighed in at 19 lbs, 13 oz and is 29 inches long.

This past month Elijah experienced his first Easter including special "treats" from both sets of grandparents and his "adopted" grandmas (our neighbors on the street). Each day he is trying new foods and we have not yet found one he doesn't like. He definitely enjoys sweet potatoes, apples, and bananas the best!

Elijah is so much fun. He still doesn't LOVE to be on his belly but he is getting more skilled at pulling his head up and looking around. He even accidentally rolled that way about a week ago. The doctor encouraged us to get him on his belly more so he can work on learning to roll over. He is also so very close to sitting unassisted. He will sit in a tri-pod, until his noggin gets him off balance. Then he just rolls up into a heap and yells for some assistance!  Elijah also finished off the 2nd bottom front tooth shortly after his 5 month birthday. He is now very close to adding the two top teeth.

Last Monday we celebrated Elijah's 1/2 birthday with a sweet potato and rice cereal "cake". It didn't take him long to figure out what it was and get busy gobbling it right up. Isaiah enjoyed watching Elijah make a big mess (while enjoying some applesauce of his own).

And I'll leave you with this. Up until just recently Elijah has not particularly liked Peek-A-Boo. But we played it again this last month and captured this video...hope you "get a good laugh" out of it! http://youtu.be/dBLXxVF0QWc

Elijah bud we love you and can't wait to see what is in store next!
