Christmas Time

It's been a very busy time for Momma and so she hasn't been able to help me write lately, but Momma and I are home today, enjoying some nice naps and relaxing so she has time now. Momma said "every year in "Decemeber and June" everything seems so busy but it's because there are so many people we care about that we don't want to miss seeing them.

Three weekends ago, I had my first "Moyer Christmas" on December 5th. I slept, watched Momma eat, and, with Momma and Daddy's help, opened a "Christmas gift" from Aiden and gave a "Christmas gift" to Jackson. There were a lot of kids there, but they were all older than me. Momma said we are all "related" and that next year I'll be running around with the rest of them. I saw my cousins and some Aunts and Uncles too.

On Sunday the 13th I went to Sunday School for the first time. I slept the whole time. Mrs. Linda W held me because it was nosiey. I didn't wake up until just befor Daddy came to pick me up but Mrs. Holly and Mrs. Linda W gave Daddy a paper for me since I was asleep during the story. Momma showed it to me later and told me that "we need Jesus".

This past weekend was very busy for Momma and Daddy. This was the special weekend when they sung the Cantata for other people. On Friday, Daddy was home with Momma and I and we went to see Dr. Orr. She said I'm now 14 pounds and 2 ounces and that I'm 26 inches long. Momma said that means I'm starting to "grow out instead of just up." Later that night, Momma was all dressed up and put me to bed in my carseat. She told me I would be going to Aunt Shannon and Uncle Aaron's house for a couple hours while she and Daddy sung at "Birchaven". She said she would see Grandma M and Gr. G & G H. When I woke up the next morning, I was back in my crib.

Saturday, I spent the day with Momma and Daddy while they finished the last of thier "Christmas shopping". It wasn't a very fun 4 month birthday except that I spent a lot of time with Momma and Daddy. It was nice to go home until Momma put me to bed in my carseat again. She said this time Momma and Daddy were going to "Lakeland Christmas Dinner". I don't know where we went but it was noisy and I couldn't sleep so I started crying. Momma picked me up, feed me and changed my pants. By the time I was all done eating it was quite so Momma and Daddy put me back to bed in my carseat. I started getting hungry in the night, Momma said because I ate my midnight snack early, so I woke Momma up for some food but then went bak to sleep for a couple hours. When I woke up in the morning, Momma said we only had one more "crazy" day until we could have a "normal" day again. Momma looked tired but she was all dressed when I woke up.

Sunday, we went to church and then hung around afterwards while Momma fed me and then Daddy walked me around the church, even after everyone left. I went to Sunday School again but I slept the whole time again. A lot of different people held me while we were at church. I hung out with Momma and Daddy's friends Matt and Emily. Momma said she was excited to see them and that they are going to have a baby.  Then Mrs. Linda T and Kayla played with me in the nursery while Momma was in church. My friend Allison was there too. Mrs. Linda W held me during Sunday School. After SS, Ray  and Lela held me for a little while. I like to talk and smile at lots of faces. Sunday night, Momma put me to bed a little early because she said she and Daddy were going to sing the Cantata just one more time at church. Grandma M came to watch me.

So today, we are home relaxing. I'm ready to go get in my bath and head to bed. Night, night

The Christmas Tree

Momma finally got her tree up. It is very pretty. It has a lot of little white lights and pretty red, silver and gold things on it. She put me under the tree to take some pictures.

Have to go get some lunch. Have a good day.

I'm Thankful

Over the last week and a half, I've been very busy. Sunday after the big game, we went to church and I met Momma's friend Abby. I was too excited to sleep so Abby hung out with me until Momma and Daddy were done teaching Sunday School. It was very exciting to meet her and Jonathan because Momma said they live far away and we don't get to see them very much.

That afternoon, I went and hung out with Aunt Shannon, Uncle Aaron and my cousins and Momma and Daddy went to Cantata practice.

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were normal days. Momma and I stayed home and Daddy went to work during the day. I enjoyed sleeping in my crib and getting good rest.

Thursday, Daddy was home when I woke up and Momma said that it was Thanksgiving, a special day to say an extra big Thank You for what we have, and Daddy could be home with us. For lunch we went to Grandma and Grandpa S's house and Uncle Steve and Aunt Karen were there. Momma said Gr. Aunt Lois was there too but she had to go home before I woke up.

On Friday when Momma and Daddy came to get me when I woke up, Momma was already all dressed and ready to go, but we didn't go anywhere. She told me later that she went shopping while I was sleeping and "got some good deals". When we went downstairs there were bags all over the floor and Momma showed Daddy what was in them. Momma said she is almost done "Christmas shopping" and she can't wait to "get the tree up."

Saturday when I woke up, I was in Daddy's car. Momma fed me and then Momma and Daddy took my into a store In My PJs. Momma took me to a small room and put on my dress up clothes. When we were all done, Momma, Daddy and I went into a big room with lots of big lights and two nice ladies talked and smiled at me. It was fun until one of the ladies put a camera in my face and the lights started flashing. It wasn't my favorite thing but Momma and Daddy told me it was okay. The lady with the camera kept having Momma put me in different chairs and pillows and even told Momma to take off my clothes. I was a little upset; there were a lot of people in the store looking at me and I had a wet diaper. After a couple more pictures, Momma and Daddy walked me through the whole store in just my diaper and took me back to the room we started in and put my clothes back on. While Momma talked to one of the ladies, Daddy held me. I was tired so I just went to sleep. When I woke up again, I was back at home and that was much better.

On Sunday, we went to church in the morning and then went to Grandma and Grandpa M's for lunch. Momma said we were celebrating Thanksgiving again, and that Daddy was going to help Grandpa "deep fry a turkey". She said maybe I can help some day when I'm bigger. Uncle Aaron, Aunt Shannon, Uncle Jon, Aunt Amanda, and my cousins also all came. I slept most of the time but while I was awake, Aunt Shannon held me and I spit up all over her.

Yesterday was back to a normal day with Momma and me at home. I wasn't feeling great and I threw up all over Momma's shirt. When she checked my temperature, I was warm (100.2). Momma called my doctor and they said to give me Tylenol. In just an hour, I already felt so much better and once Momma fed me, I went to bed and sleep well. Today, Momma and I went to the recycling center and to get the last few Christmas presents.

I still don't know what the tree Momma wants up looks like. I like my house the way it us but Momma seems excited about changing it "for Christmas".

I had a Big Day!

Daddy spent a lot of time with me today. He was the first person I saw when I woke up and he even gave me my bath before bed. Momma was gone for most of the morning and when she came home her hair looked different. I like it though because she still looks like my Momma.

Today was also the Ohio State and Michigan game. Daddy said it was Ohio State's "rivalry" game, though it's not much of a "rivalry" when Ohio State was sure to win. I didn't watch very much of the game because I took my nap until near the end. When I woke up, Grandma and Grandpa S had come to see me. Momma said I should say "Happy Birthday" to Grandpa S because tomorrow is his "birthday". Momma and Daddy were happy that the Buckeyes won the game but my favorite part was talking with Grandma S. Momma took this video.

After Grandma and Grandpa S left, I took a short nap while Momma and Daddy talked about a new bed for me. After I ate super, while Daddy put together my new bed, we all went to the store to get a "mattress" for my new bed. I don't know why I have a new bed but so far it's seems really nice. Here is a photo of Daddy putting my new bed together while I watched him.

I'm 3 Months Old

Today is my 3 month birthday. Momma took me to see Dr. Orr today. She checked me all out and told Momma that I'm looking really good (I could have told her that). I weighed 12 lbs, 3.5 oz (25%) and I am 25.5 inches long (90%). My head is 40.7 cm around. Dr. Orr was very nice lady and told Momma to keep up with nursing me and not to worry about my weight because I'm "on a good curve now." Momma asked a bunch of questions and then put me back in my clothes so we could go home.
I really like to sit in the swing and play with my hands or my blanket. I also like to sit with Momma or Daddy and talk to them about my day. They laugh and I give them big smiles back. I also like to look at Momma and me in the mirror or to splash away in my bath before bed. I still don't like to lay on my belly very long and milk still makes my tummy hurt.

Here is a video Momma took of me on Tuesday.

I'm going to take a quick nap now before supper.

Happy Birthday Kayla

This week I started trying to sit up all by myself when I sit on Momma's lap. I also like to move around when Momma lays me on the floor. I rock and kick my legs until I get just where I want to be. I also really like to laugh at Daddy when he makes funny faces at me.

Today I went to my first ever "craft show" with Momma and Daddy. Momma said it will probably be the only one I ever go to, at least until I'm "grown up". Momma let me sleep in my sling. I also sat up in my stroller for a while and watched all the people walking by and smiling at me. Daddy said the craft show was "a success" because we didn't bring very many boxes home.

We also went to Aunt Shannon and Uncle Aaron's house after the craft show. It was my cousin Kayla's birthday so she was allowed to have cake for the first time. I slept the whole time but Momma and Daddy said it was nice to see everyone including my Gr. Grandma M and Gr. Grandma and Grandpa H. My cousins were very excited about what Kayla recieved for her birthday. Momma said that before too long it will be my turn to have a birthday party and eat cake.

We missed most of the game today because of the craft show but Momma said that the Buckeyes did win. Daddy said next weekend is a very important Buckeyes game, my first "Michigan verses Ohio State" game.

Momma likes my tummy

I have had a few new experiences this weekend -
Today I went to my first "shower". It was for daddy's cousin Maegan who is going to have a baby. Momma said that normally just girls go to showers but because I'm so little still, I can go too. I saw my cousins and Aunt Shannon. I also saw Grandma M and Gr. Grandma M. Daddy's Aunt Mary Ann held me for a while.

Yesterday I want to visit the "vet" for the first time. We had to take Momma's kitty Tatum with us. No one really talked to me, so I just took a nap.

It was nice to get out and about because Daddy was gone these last few days. Momma said he went "hunting" with his friends, but that he would be home when I wake up in the morning.

Thursday I went back to see Dr. Beck. I weighed 11 pounds and 6 ounces. Momma and Daddy were very excited and said I was "on track to gain a pound in one week". Dr. Beck told them that I was looking good and to keep feeding me at night. Next time I go to the doctor I will be 3 months old and I will get to meet Dr. Orr.

Momma has been sitting me up after I eat and rubbing my tummy. She said she really likes that my tummy is getting a little pudgier, and my pants are fitting a little better too.

Night, Night.

I like to sleep!

Another busy weekend with so much excitment.

Saturday was game day - Daddy dressed me in my red Buckeyes shirt, but Momma and Daddy were excited about other things.

First we went to visit Dr. Beck. He wanted to check my weight because Momma told him I wasn't asking for food at night. I like to sleep and was happy to sleep from 6:30 at night until 8 or 9 in the morning. My weight was down to 10 pounds and 9 ounces. Dr. Beck told Momma and Daddy to start feeding me again at night. Momma told Daddy tonight that I look like I'm "plumping up nicely".

Next we drove to Toledo. Momma was excited about getting a "crib". I still don't know what it is but Daddy loaded a big box in the back of the truck. It's now sitting by the TV downstairs. And then finally, we went home and watched the Buckeyes game.

After my afternoon nap, we went to a fall party with a bunch of Momma and Daddy's friends. It was nice to see all my friends. Momma dressed me up as pea pod for the picture. My friend Henry was there and was dressed up like a frog.

Sunday was another busy day with church and Momma and Daddy's cantata practice. Today was a nice day at home with Momma. Goodnight.

Social Pooper

Hello Monday. I've had a nice weekend.

Thursday morning I went to see my cousins and Aunt Shannon. Momma and I stayed with the two younger cousins while Aunt Shannon took my older cousin "to school". I took my nap that morning in my sling, snuggled up with Momma. In the afternoon, Momma told me we visited her Great Aunt Janice. I was napping so I didn't get to say hi. That evening I visited Grandma and Grandpa S and also hung out with Aunt Karen, Uncle Steve, and Great Aunt Lois. Momma said we need to enjoy the time we have with Uncle Steve and Aunt Karen because they are getting ready to move far away and we won't be able to see them as much.

Friday, Momma and I just stayed home and relaxed. I didn't take my naps so I was very "cranky" and tired when Daddy got home from work so he helped put me to bed.

Saturday, Momma and I watched Daddy's "football" shows but Momma said Daddy was at the Buckeyes game. I was upset and didn't nap that morning because I didn't want to miss the Buckeyes game. Momma finally let me sit in the swing and watch TV. Soon after the game started, I took a nice afternoon nap. Momma put me to bed before Daddy got home, but Daddy came and gave me my evening snack.

Sunday, we were out and about all day. We went to church in the morning and I saw Great Grandma Moyer and heard Daddy singing. We visited Grandma and Grandpa M for lunch and then Momma and Daddy went to cantata practice in the afternoon. I took all my naps. After Momma and Daddy's cantata practice we saw my cousins and Aunt Shannon and Uncle Aaron. I was ready for bed so we went home so I could get my bath and go to sleep.

Momma told Daddy I'm a "social pooper". Thursday I pooped at Aunt Shannon's house and at Grandma S's house. Sunday I pooped at church and at Grandma M's house. I feel better after I poop.

I'm going to take a nap in my swing now.

Do they make skinny jeans for infants?

I had my 2 month appointment today. I met Dr. Beck. Daddy said he went to see Dr. Beck when he was little too. He was very nice and told Momma she was doing a good job taking care of me.

I weighted 10lbs and 14oz. I only gained 4oz since last time but Dr. Beck said as long as I keep gaining and looking so healthy, that is okay. I was 24 1/4 inches long and my head is 39 inches round.  Daddy says I have a Moyer head and Steiner body.

Dr. Beck told Momma I should eat sitting up and then stay sitting up until I burp good. This should help me not spit up as much and have less gas. He also told Momma to keep away from milk still but maybe in a month she can have some if I start gaining good again.

Dr. Beck also told Momma that the strawberry on my eyelid will probably never go away completely but it will get lighter. The redness between my eyes will probably be gone in a month or two.

I also had to get shots today. Momma said they are vaccines to help me stay healthy. It hurt so I screamed but Momma held me and gave me lots of kisses until I felt all better.

I started sleeping less during the day and it was making me very upset. Momma kept thinking I was just happy to be awake and tried to play more with me but really I just wanted to sleep more. She read a book to help her better understand me and now she is putting me to bed earlier and helping me sleep more during the day. It is good because now when I'm awake I feel happy and like to smile and laugh more. I was awake while at the grocery store with Momma today and was all smiles for everyone that stopped to talk to me.

Night, night for now.

Two months old...

I'm two months old today. I'll have my two month check-up on Wednesday.

I don't sleep as much as I use to, but I still enjoy a good nap. I also really enjoy my bath.

I don't like to have my clothes changed and milk still makes my tummy hurt. I'd always prefer to stay in and relax at home but I like to see new faces now and then too.

Momma says I'm almost in all 3-6 months clothes now but I'm still so long and skinny, my jeans don't fit round my middle.

I'm discovering new things each day.

Feeling Better

After lunch yesterday I took a couple long naps, which really helped me feel so much better. I ate a big supper then went back to bed. When Momma came in to give me my "top off" snack I had a stinky diaper for her to change. Once I was all clean and filled up, I slept very well the rest of the night.

Daddy said he is feeling better to. He still said he will wait to cuddle with me until he is even better but he did come in rub my back before he left for work.

I'm going to go snuggle in my bed and take a nap for now.

Rocky Road...

It's been a rough couple of days. Yesterday my tummy hurt and I was hungry every two hours. I would just get off to a good nap and then my tummy would start to hurt or rumble. I would yell and momma came and gave me some food and Mylicon. I never was able to get a good nap. Then in the middle of the night my tummy started rumbling again and I had to wake momma up to get some food. After momma feed me last night I was happy and kept smiling at her but she didn't look very excited. She put me back to bed instead of playing and talking to me. I went back to sleep and felt a little better when I woke up again. Now my tummy is hurting again and it's still making it hard to go to sleep. I hope it starts to feel better today.

Momma put me in my bouncy seat this morning while she ate breakfast, except this time she put a bar around the top that made noise and had fish and lights. It was a little more noise then I liked but the fish and bubbles were very nice. Momma said she will turn off the music next time so I can just watch the bubbles and fish without all the noise.

Daddy said he also doesn't feel good. He said he has a "sore throat" and a "runny nose" and can't give me kisses until he feels better. He was awake too last night when I was eating. Daddy told Momma he just was having trouble breathing. I hope he feels better soon too so we can cuddle.

I'm going to try to get a nap now.

Good Morning Monday

Mondays are nice. Momma doesn't wake me up early, make me rush around or get dressed up, we don't usually have to go out; Momma and I just hang out at home. Daddy goes to work but when he comes home, he spends extra time just talking and cuddling with me.

This weekend was busy. Friday night, momma and daddy went "out to eat". I saw my friend Emma and her big sister and I met Momma and Daddy's friends Matt and Emily. Momma said they are going to have a baby and that its special to see them because they live far away. I thought they were very nice and momma took my picture with Matt.

Saturday morning daddy took me to meet the lady that helped momma the day I arrived. Then she helped momma relax with a massage while daddy and I spent the morning hanging out back home. Saturday was also "game day" again and Grandma and Grandpa S came and watched TV with me.

Sunday morning we rushed around, not my favorite thing to do, and went to church. I heard daddy singing with some of his friends there. The singing was very nice and then I took a nap. When I woke up again I didn't know where I was; there were nice ladies that held me until my momma and daddy came. I also saw some of my friends there too. Momma said that I was "in the nursery". I also saw my Great Grandma Moyer before we left church. She is very nice. This is a picture of us from last weekend.
That afternoon, I went to see Aunt Shannon, Uncle Aaron, and my cousins. Momma and daddy said they were going to "cantata practice". Aunt Shannon and Uncle Aaron took good care of me, even changing my stinky diaper. I took a nap there even though there was so many new things to see. When I woke up, Aunt Shannon and Uncle Aaron fed me and they cuddled with me. They are very nice. After supper, momma and daddy came back and we went home.

After such a busy weekend, I went to bed early last night and momma said I slept for almost 11 hours. I feel much more rested now but might take a quick nap before my morning snack.

These last few weeks...

Yum, Yum. My snack was yummy.

The next couple weeks after my one month appointment were a little rough. Momma kept trying to get me to lay on my stomach but I just didn't want to. On September 29th, momma put me on my tummy again and I just decided to roll over to my back. Momma was super excited and ran around saying "good job baby". Later that week I smiled at her and then daddy and they both were very excited about it. Now I'll smile at almost anyone if I'm in the right mood.

That weekend, momma and daddy took me back to church and we spent nearly the whole weekend there. There were a lot of people and there was always someone to hold me while I wasn't sleeping.

This last week was a little rough. My momma said I'm having a "growth spurt" which is why I'm sleeping so much and extra hungry. She told my doctor that I'm out growing me clothes but momma seems pretty happy that I'm sleeping so long, about 9-10 hours, at night.

I'm going to watch the game with Grandma and Grandpa S now who came to visit. So long for now.

Hi Big World!

Hi Big World. I've only been here a short time but I'm really enjoying each day and the new experiences. I'm over a month old so let me start out telling how the first couple weeks have gone.

My momma went to the hospital to get things started early on August 19th. She worked hard and I didn't make it easy but by lunchtime I had arrived. They say I was a "big boy". I wasn't super happy at first but each day it gets a little better.

At the hospital I met lots of nice ladies. They helped my momma and daddy to take care of me before leaving. I also met two ladies named "Grandma" and to guys named "Grandpa". I also met a few cousins, aunts, uncles and some of momma and daddy's friends.

Before we left the hospital I got all strapped into my spaceship and away we went. Momma and Daddy took me to a place they called "Home". It was bigger than the room at the hospital but still pretty comfortable. Before I was even out of my spaceship I met to kittys named "Eddie" and "Tatum".

Over the next few days I spent a lot of time sleeping and learning my way around home. My new bed was big at first but before long it felt just right. My momma said I slept a lot because of "jaundice". I kept having to go back to the doctor so he could poke at me. I guess because I slept so much I didn't eat enough and then I had to go to the doctor to get on the "scale". Before a month old though, I figured it all out and didn't have to go back to the doctor so much.

When I was just a couple weeks old, momma took me to visit daddy at work. I met more people who said I was "cute". That week I also got a picture with the doctor who helped me arrive and visited momma's work to see her friends there. That weekend, momma woke me up and told me it was "game day" and put me in my first Ohio State outfit to "watch the game". I didn't see anything that special about the day; I slept most of it anyway. Now almost every weekend momma wakes me up to "it's game day baby" and puts me in one of few "special OSU shirts". I really don't see what all the fuss is about; its the day daddy likes to watch lots of the same show on TV all day long. He keeps telling me someday I'll understand and seems pretty excited about it.

The next weekend my momma and daddy took me to this placed called "church" where a bunch of people kept looking at me and telling momma I was "very precious". I also went to the "fair" that weekend. It was very very noisy. Momma seemed most excited about the food and daddy talked to a bunch of different people he knew.

So that was my first month. I'll touch back after my afternoon snack and let you know how the last three and half weeks have been.
