7 Months Old

I'm 7 months old. I didn't have to go to see the doctor for my birthday this month. Mom said I'll get to meet a new doctor though in a few days. This is a picture of me with Big Country (JD Anderson) one of the Power Team guys that came to our church last week. Momma and Daddy let me stay up late to watch them and play with my friends in the nursery. He was pretty funny.

Momma and Daddy weighed me at home and I weighed 17.8 lbs and I measured 28.25 inches long.

I've just started to learn how to feed myself. Momma puts these little "puffs" in front of me and lets me play with them and yesterday while Daddy and I were hanging out, I picked one up and put it in my mouth all by myself. Daddy was pretty excited. I like it better when Momma or Daddy just does it for me, but if they are busy, I can do it by myself.

I also have two "teeth" coming in. They hurt a little but Momma and Daddy have been putting stuff in my mouth so that it doesn't hurt as much. Momma took this picture of my teeth.

I still spit-up a lot. Momma tried to eat some milk and it didn't make me sick right away but within a few days I just didn't feel too good and I was spitting up extra so Momma stopped eating milk again. She said we will ask my new doctor about it.

I like to stand up the most but sometimes I'm okay with laying on my belly or sitting and playing. I can even play by myself for a few minutes while Momma gets some breakfast.  I also enjoy sitting in my stroller while Momma and Daddy talk me on walks outside. I like to visit with my "neighbors" Bea and Pat. They said they will "pay me money" to "rake the leaves and grass" when I get bigger. I don't know what they were talking about but Daddy said that would be "a good thing for me to help with".

I like that it is warmer outside too so Momma doesn't always have to cover up my face when we go for trips in the car. I like to look out and see what is around me.

I'm going to go sit and pay with my toys while Momma and I wait for Daddy to get home from work.

Moving and Shaking

These last few weeks have been nice just hanging out with Momma at home but today was fun because Momma and I went to the grocery store. I didn't have to wear a coat; I just wore my hat and sweater. Momma was very happy that it was so nice outside.

I've been sitting up more and rolling to get toys when Momma isn't looking. I'll even play by myself for a couple minutes while Momma eats breakfast. Grandma and Grandpa S came to see me last weekend and Grandma M came over for a little last night. I like when they come and play with me.

Momma has also been reading me more stories. She even took me to the library last week so we could pick out some new books to read. I was a little tired so I started fussing and she had to keep reminding me to quite down because you are suppose to be quite in a library.

I've also been eating different foods. Momma started mixing some of my food so I've had Apples with Butternut Squash and Peaches with Acorn Squash. I'm also had Pears with Peaches and Apples with Banana. I like to eat all the different foods that Momma makes for me. Sometimes I eat too much or too fast and spit some of it back up on myself, but Momma or Daddy always are nice to clean me up.

Off to bed now. Maybe I can go outside and play again tomorrow.
