6 Months Old

I'm 6 months old, or Daddy said I'm "half of a year" old. I don't feel any different but Momma and I did some special things over the last couple days...

Yesterday, Daddy "had his car serviced" so he was home for a little. He was the first person I saw. After we ate some breakfast, Momma and I picked Daddy up and brought him home from the car repair place. Then Momma and I drove all the way to Toledo to get some pictures taken. It was fun and I smiled a lot. When we were finished, Momma and I went to McDonald's for lunch and I had some squash and rice while Momma ate her french fries.

After we picked up the photos, we drove back and picked up Daddy and took him back to the car place. Then we went to meet up with some of Momma's friends. I met Jenni and her daughter Cathy. Momma said Cathy was the flower girl in Momma and Daddy's wedding. She was fun and smiled and played with me a little.

Today, I went to see Dr. Orr in the morning. I weigh 16 lb and am 27 inches long. I haven't grown a whole lot in a month so Dr. Orr told Momma to try feeding me more solid foods. She also told Momma I could have just a little apple juice when I have trouble going stinky. Dr. Orr did tell Momma that I'm looking very healthy. Then the nurse came in and gave me some shots; I didn't like that but then Momma and I headed home for my nap. It was a pretty normal day otherwise, except that Momma and Daddy both kept saying "happy birthday".

At 6 months old, I can roll over from my back to my belly and have been doing that often now. I even roll over in my sleep sometimes. I also can almost sit up all by myself. I really like my yellow and red toys the best. I started using my paci again mainly at nap and bedtime but sometimes just when I want to relax. So far I've tried sweet potatoes, rice cereal, pears, apples, peas, acorn squash, and bananas. I like to eat but sometimes I just get too excited and eat too much. Then I just spit up, usually a lot, all over Momma's shirt and my clothes too.

So long for now, going to bed.
